The next mom4profit meeting will be hosted by Dori Mages of Little Piggies and More. She will begin the meeting with a brief overview of her personalized gifts business.

Also, don't miss our first guest speaker of 2010, Maria Lezniak of Northshore Healing Centre, to talk to us about balance between family and career. Please arrive on time so we can get the full benefit of this very crucial topic.

We will also give an update to the City Chapter discussion from last month.

January Meeting

Next meeting is scheduled for January 5th, 2010 at 11:00am (new members; networking) & 11:30 (meeting begins). Our host will be Natalie Harel-Yakov, financial strategist, Har-El Financial Group, 333 Skokie Blvd. Suite 112, Northbrook, IL 60062. Natalie will give an overview of her financial advising services including her focus on women's financial health followed by a tech review of mom4profit website, blog (how to sign up, update profile, download photos, etc.). Please bring your laptop, if possible.

December 1st-Meeting Notes

Hi Everyone,

Today's meeting was hosted by Jen Collins from Oddbodd. She gave us a valuable overview of her business and how as business owners we all have potential for more growth by being connected to social media sites and online google searches. For more information you can contact Jen at www.oddbodd.com.

We had a guest, and potential member, Michelle Kelso, who is a life coach focusing on women and mothers. We look forward to learning more from Michelle at our next meeting.

We also discussed how to attract specific professions to our group. We came up with an initial list and are welcoming all of you to let us know which professions would be a benefit to the group and potentially to your individual businesses. Please reply via the blog with your requests/suggestions. Here is the list so far:

Please note: When using the mom4profit email, please keep emails, specifically Reply All to a minimum. Mom4profit will forward any emails we deem pertinent to the entire group. Do not press Reply All unless absolutely necessary. We would like to keep the "channels open" so important emails are not missed. Use this email for the following only: personal/confidential emails to Natalie or Riv, flyers/event info to forward to the group. The blog should be used for conversation among members and for meeting information therefore, you'll need to check it at least every couple of days! Thanks for your cooperation and understanding!

Our next meeting will be on January 5th. It will be hosted by Natalie Harel-Yakov at her office, 333 Skokie Blvd. Suite 112 Northbrook. We will concentrate our meeting on Tech Issues, so please bring your laptops if you'd like!! This meeting is important given the changes mentioned above. Everyone will need to have easy access to the blog, rsvping and completing their profile.

Next Meeting - December 1st

The December meeting is being hosted by Jen Collins, of OddBodd. Jen will begin our meeting by introducing her company and the services it provides, including social media networking, how to have a successful online presence and video profiles. We will also discuss which professions we'd like to attract to mom4profit and ways to do so. Anyone who needs tech assistance for our blog, please arrive at 11:00am for support.

Next Meeting - October 6th

Hi Everyone,

What an incredible beginning to a new year. Happy New Year, to those who are celebrating this week! Our last meeting was hosted by Susan Fireside...thanks Susan! We signed new applications and contracts for the new year and reviewed many of our new guidelines. Last week, several of us attended the Make It Better: North Shore Night of Clubbing and we were very pleased to see Mom4Profit represented. It was a fun evening. We also, with a huge applause to Susan Fireside, managed to send out an Ad for Mom4Profit to Make It Better. This ad will be featured in their new magazine Better, set to launch in October. A banner ad will also be shown on their online version. Thanks for everyone who participated!

Hi Everyone!

Our next meeting will be hosted by Susan Fireside, Winter and Construction, our resident branding expert. Topic: "Worst logos ever. A fun look at some designs that convey the wrong message. I'm sure that when Arlington Pediatric Center went out to create a brand they did not mean to convey sex. See what happens when good intentions go bad."

Also, we'll be presenting our new Membership contracts and applications, please be sure to bring your check books to complete the registration process and pay 2009-2010 dues. Thank you to everyone who submitted their input, we definitely kept them in mind!
